Mobile Barriers MBT-1® honored by the Transportation Association of Canada

With innovation awards from the IRF, ARTBA & ATSSA, Mobile Barriers MBT-1® was similarly honored in Canada, Monday, September 23, 2013, as one of four innovations featured during the opening plenary session of the Transportation Association of Canada’s (TAC-ATC) Annual Conference . The opening plenary session, referred to as the “Lion’s Den”, focused on the 2013 conference theme, “Transportation: Better – Faster – Safer” and highlighted innovations creating a more sustainable transportation system.

Mobile Barriers MBT-1® was presented by Canadian affiliate, Powell Mobile Barriers. Bill Powell Jr. heads up the affiliate. Jesse Hopkins, Sales Manager, did the presentation. Mobile Barriers MBT-1® has been particularly successful in Ontario where it was first introduced a couple of years ago. It is now expanding into both Eastern and Western Canada. Stories and audio interviews by the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (the MTO) are on the “Resources” page of this web site. We are honored to be featured in this year’s TAC-ATC opening plenary session.
